Park: footpaths across parkland open during daylight hours November to March. 
Dogs on short leads, in park only carriage driving tuition, November to March (phone for details). Shop licensed restaurant parking.
Disabled passengers may be set down at house by prior arrangement only, as drive is used for carriage and horses. House access via ramp to ground floor at rear help available from staff at front door ground floor on one level and accessible. Carriage Museum has limited access. Garden and grounds are mainly level with gravel paths access to most of garden. Adapted WC in public block near house. Shop is accessible. Tearoom with, thick handled cutlery available. Audio tour of house braille guides to house and carriage collection carriage and horses may be touched. 

The house, built in 1822 and set in 30 acres of park and garden, contains fascinating collections for every taste, including model ships, shells, costumes, pewter and furniture of the last century. A large array of early horse-drawn vehicles is displayed in the stables and there are carriage rides from the front of the house. 
The park is grazed by Shetland ponies and Jacob sheep.
