Andrew Carnegie - Dunfermline
Andrew Carnegie, 1835-1918. Born into a weaving family, he made his fortune in the steel industry in the United States of America. He donated a large portion of his wealth to charity and built over 2500 free libraries throughout Scotland, England, the United States and Canada. The Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum in Dunfermline tells the story of this remarkable man.
