Altarnun

A pretty village on the edge of Bodmin Moor and has a 15^th century church dedicated to St Nonna and known locally as the ‘cathedral of the moor’.

The village is sheltered by hills and tall trees, with simple yet cared for cottages beside a fast flowing river and an old pack horse bridge.

The Church of St Nonna has a tall west tower, a fine Norman font over 70 bench ends dating from the 16^th century, and the rood screen extends the width of the church.
