The small church of St Mary's is famed for the tombs of the 'giants', eight outsize figures of the de la Beche family dating from the 14th century and visited by Queen Elizabeth I. In the churchyard is another giant - a thousand year old yew tree with a reported girth of no less than 27 feet.
