Wheelchair access; dogs on leads only; gift shop; visitor centre; coffee shop and guided tours. The outer gatehouse of the nearby Cistercian abbey. There was originally a chapel on the first floor, with side chambers flanking the gate passage. Whalley Abbey conference house is set amidst the ruins of a 13th century Cistercian Abbey on the banks of the River Calder and situated in the beautiful countryside of the Ribble Valley.
