Totnes Castle, (EH)

Parking (small charge), dogs on leads only and suitable for picnics.
By the North Gate of the hill town of Totnes, you will find a superb motte and bailey castle, with splendid views across the roof tops and down to the River Dart. It is a symbol of lordly feudal life and a fine example of Norman fortification.
