No dogs allowed suitable for picnics no refreshments no toilets. Disabled parking, in grounds, 3 steps into ticket office access to all parts of the priory via mainly impacted gravel paths and smooth grass steps into parts of the monument. Carved stone faces may be touched.
Grime stained blocks of red sandstone mark the peaceful ruin of this Cluniac monastery founded in 1153. There are extensive remains of the fully restored 14th century gatehouse.
