A superb 18th century Georgian mansion designed by William and Robert Adam and features exquisite plaster ceilings, beautiful interior decoration, fine period furniture and a marvellous art collection.

 

There are fine walled gardens adjoining the house which looks southwards across a lake to the distant Cheviot Hills.
